Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to HepTrend! These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and Shijing Tongyue Technology Co., Ltd. ("we," "us," "Company") regarding your use of the HepTrend application ("Service").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using HepTrend, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
Service Description
HepTrend Features
HepTrend is a lab-report AI parsing and liver health tracking application for chronic hepatitis B, including:
- AI lab parsing: Capture or select lab-report images to extract structured metrics (typically requires Pro entitlement)
- Metric trend visualization: Charts based on reports you save
- Medication and checkup reminders: Local medication logs and reminders (subject to system permissions)
- Manual entry: Add or correct reports and metrics at any time (manual entry does not depend on AI parsing quota)
- Metric dictionary sync: Fetch a read-only authoritative dictionary when online to improve matching
Service Availability
We strive for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Service when necessary.
Accounts and How You Use the App
No Account Registration Required
- HepTrend does not require creating an account or registering an email
- Subscription entitlements are associated on-device via the app stores and/or invite codes
- You are responsible for securing your device and platform accounts (Apple ID / Google account)
On-Device Data
- Confirmed business data is stored on your device by default
- Uninstalling the app or clearing data may make recovery impossible; back up anything important yourself
- AI parsing uploads lab-report images—see the Privacy Policy for details
Usage Rules
Permitted Use
You may:
- Install and use HepTrend on devices you own or control
- Use the Service to organize and track your personal health information
- Use features provided by the app in compliance with these Terms
Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable law
- Hack, reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the application without authorization
- Interfere with the Service, related networks, or security mechanisms
- Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful content
- Infringe others’ intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Abuse AI parsing, dictionary, or subscription interfaces with automated tools
- Bypass quotas, subscription verification, invite codes, or other access controls
- Present the Service as medical diagnosis, prescription, or emergency care to others
- Engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or conduct that harms our reputation
- Remove or alter copyright notices or proprietary marks
Subscriptions and Payments
Free Features and Pro
- Basic capabilities such as manual entry may be available without a subscription (as shown in-app)
- Pro features such as AI lab parsing may require a paid subscription, trial, or invite-code activation
Billing
- Subscription fees are charged through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings
- After cancellation, entitlements usually remain available until the end of the paid period
Trials and Intro Offers
- Trials or introductory offers, if provided, are subject to store terms and may convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled in time
Refunds
- Refunds are governed by Apple/Google policies and must be processed through the respective stores
- Except where required by law, we do not provide refunds directly
- For technical issues or duplicate charges, we will reasonably assist you with store processes
Price Changes
- We may adjust subscription prices subject to Apple / Google policies on price changes and consent
Mobile Application License
Use License
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to:
- Install and use the mobile application on wireless electronic devices you own or control
- Access and use the application strictly in accordance with these Terms
License Restrictions
You shall not decompile, reverse engineer, create derivative works, use the app for unauthorized commercial purposes, or make it available over a network for simultaneous multi-user access beyond this license.
Apple and Android Devices
When you obtain the app from the App Store or Google Play:
- The license is limited to use on the applicable platform devices
- We are responsible for maintenance and support within a reasonable scope
- You must comply with the applicable app store terms of service
- The app stores are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms
If store terms conflict with these Terms regarding distribution and billing, the store terms control for those matters.
Intellectual Property
- The HepTrend application, name, logos, and related content are protected by intellectual property laws; we reserve all rights not expressly granted
- You retain rights in images you upload and content you enter; you grant us a limited license to process them as needed to provide AI parsing and the Service
- You represent that you have the right to provide such content and that it does not infringe third-party rights
Privacy and Data
Please see our Privacy Policy for details. In summary:
- Business reports are on-device by default; AI parsing uploads images
- We do not sell your personal information
- Subscription verification may use RevenueCat and app store services
Medical and Health Disclaimer
Not a Medical Device / Not Clinical Care
- HepTrend is a health and fitness software tool, not a medical device, and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, or emergency guidance
- In-app explanations, trends, and reminders are for personal information management only and do not replace licensed clinicians, pharmacists, or accredited medical institutions
- Rely on official lab reports from hospitals/laboratories; seek immediate medical care for emergencies or concerning symptoms
AI / OCR Accuracy
- AI parsing may misread, omit, or misinterpret units and reference ranges
- You must review results before saving; you are responsible for consequences of failing to review
- We do not warrant any particular recognition accuracy or health outcome
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid for the Service in the past 12 months, or USD 50 (or equivalent), whichever is higher, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from failure to back up local data, device loss, uninstalling the app, or failure to verify AI results.
Service Changes and Terms Updates
- We may add, modify, or remove features; we will try to provide reasonable notice of material changes
- We may update these Terms; material updates will be communicated in advance or concurrently where appropriate
- Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where law requires otherwise
Termination
By You
You may stop using the Service and delete the application at any time.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access (including server-side capabilities) for violations of these Terms, abuse, legal requirements, or other legitimate reasons.
Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Handling
We encourage resolving disputes through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to courts with jurisdiction.
Electronic Communications
Visiting the Service, emailing us, and submitting feedback forms constitute electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications and agree that notices we provide electronically satisfy written-form requirements where permitted by law.
Other Terms
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and related notices, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior oral or written agreements, except as otherwise required by law.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining parts remain in effect.
